North of Everett’s downtown, the Northwest neighborhood extends all the way to the Snohomish River. Additionally, it is bounded to the west by Port Gardner Bay, to the east by Broadway, and to the south by 19th St. In one of Everett’s oldest neighborhoods, you’ll discover mature residential areas with plenty of trees and historic homes. One of these is the Butler-Jackson House, a notable Everett banker who erected it in 1911. The area also has the Evergreen Arboretum and Gardens. South Forest Park Neighborhood
East of View Ridge-Madison and immediately south of the Port Gardner area lies the South Forest Park community. Its northern end is bordered by Mukilteo Boulevard, while its eastern boundary is made up of Evergreen Way. There is a sizable amount of forest area in the neighborhood, which is centered by its eponymous Forest Park at the northern end. Built in the 1930s by the Works Progress Administration (WPA), this lovely 197-acre park is a WPA creation.
